The idea behind the MuseumPasseier is to avoid simply isolating the museum in the Sandhof, but rather to cover the valley unobtrusively, like a fine mesh. Interesting items are connected and cared for in situ.

The project began in 2000, with the Mountain Pasture Museum in Pfistrad at 1,350 m, in one of the oldest timber buildings in Tyrol: the Pfandler Alm and French Cemetery projects have also been realised.
